The Ugolino is born in 1889 as Florence Golf Club, by the Park of Cascine in Firenze and it has been the first Golf Club in Italy. Looking at the score you could think at first sight that is an easy path considering its length of “only” 5.676 meters. Unfortunately the difficulties of a golf field are not only the meters. The Ugolino is a natural field projected and built in 1933 over the waving hills of Chianti and it exploits the natural features of the place in the best way: cypresses, olive trees, slopes that follow the wonderful landscape , small “greens” often well defended.
These are the odds that the golf player has to face along a path that belongs to history of the Italian Golf and that puts any kind of player under severe trial.
