Instructions to save routes in your Tom Tom Navigator
Before starting
We lively suggest you to do a full back up of your device before you keep on downloading. Read the handbook of your device to have further pieces of information about that.
Unless you use a Tom Tom device that recharge by USB plug-in we further suggest you to link your Tom Tom device to the recharging plug.
To transfer the data of routes you formerly have to copy them in your PC. Then you can install them in your map.
Please follow the passages beneath
Download the routes
1.Download the routes and save them in your desktop
2.The routes are zipped and so they have to be unzipped. Use the suitable software that you installed in your system to check out the files from the archive.
Copy the routes into your device
1.Link your Tom Tom device to the PC by using the USB cable. As the message appears asking if you wish to connect to the PC, select “YES”
If Tom Tom Home is regularly installed it will start over.
2.Double-click your mouse on icon Computer Resources.
3.Double-click on your Tom Tom device listed as Removable Disk
4.Double click on your routes directory (for ex. itn) and copy all the files with the extension “.itn”.
5.Now click “Back” to get back to the previous page and double click on the archive of the map (for ex. Italia). Then copy all the files with the extension “.ov2” and those with the extension “.bmp”.
6.Eventually disconnect the Tom Tom device by clicking on icon Hardware secure removing and plug-out the USB cable.
