Restaurante Gaitàn
One of Jerez' most well-known restaurants, the Gaitàn is situated in a street called de Pedro Gaitàn el Ciego, named after a noble gentleman from Jerez whose family lineage dates back to the 15th century. It is a place where cuisine is elevated to an art form ranging from typical Jerez dishes no more general Andalusian and even Basque especialities. The menu is constantly being updated and the quality of preparation is more than reflected in the final results. A place which despite being in the middle of Jerez, bases many of its dishes on the varied Basque cuisine.
Confit of lamb with honey and Jerez brandy, hake medallions in cutlefish sauce... are just but a couple of examples of the delicious possibilities on offer for those who wish to enjoy the pleasure of fine dining
