S.ALbino is a part of the Commune of Montepulciano. It is a very small village but ther is no historical centre; the buildings are all modern and it is passed through by the State Road S.S. Montepulciano-Chiusi; it lays in a green area and surrounded by woods, meadows and tilled fields.
The land is wet by the Parcia flood: it is a flood that bears above the hilltop of Cappuccini and flows to the Montepulciano Lake in Val di Chiana.
The hypothesis about the name of Sant'Albino that have been made for ages are several. It seems to come from the latin name: "Albus" or "Albinus", that is "white" or "whitish", as well as the travertino marble that is drawn from there is used for building the most beautiful palaces and churches in Montepulciano, such as S. Biagio.
The main feature of our village is the presence of a series of bubbling and stinking water sources" that attreacted many scientists nowadays as well as in the past.
Nowadays over those water sources lays a Spa station for wellbeing o healing cares.
