Le Marche
Is an interesting region about its geographical morphology and for its wide offer that it shows to its visitors. A rough land inside with castles and places difficult to reach but rich in history and monuments and, strangely, even in young students that find in Urbino an "ideal Town" that already the Duke Frederick from Montefeltro considered its own town and was painted even by famous artists such as Tiziano, Raffaello Sanzio (from Urbino) and Piero della Francesca. Nearby Urbino you can find even the mythic and mysterious castle of San Leo and always in the close area you can find a foreign Country included in Italian and Marche borderlines: San Marino.
From Metauro to Montefeltro areas up to the Adriatic coast and the Conero mountain Marche region offers a multitude of typical products all of them different from one another.
These are the white wine such as the Bianchello del Metauro or Bianco Colli Pesaresi and the red wine such as Rosso Conero and Rosso Colli Pesaresi or the sparkling white wine such as Verdicchio di Matelica or Jesi Castles and the Vernaccia di Serrapetrona as classical red wine or sparkling red wine.
Another interesting production is the Extra Virgin Olive Oil for which the Cartoceto area has the best one as per smells and quality of product.
Among the salami you can find even the Carpegna Ham and various sausages.
Among the cheeses you have to take note of the soft Casciotta from Urbino and the various products of inner Urbino, Ascoli and Macerata lands.
The Marche region are influenced by the coastline tourism being on the northern side the natural continuation of Romagna coastline with the bathing station of Pesaro area.
As you enter the Conero mountain slopes the sea and its landscape change by offering impressive views by Numana and Sirolo.
Even the Poor foods or "street foods" find in Marche region some of the delicacies such as filled in olives from Ascoli and the Crescia Sfogliata pie from Urbino or the rarest and rarest "spuntature" once found along the Falconara coastline.
In the Marche Appennini is so precious even the White Truffle, such as the white one from Acqualagna in the province of Pesaro.
